Peter makes the game a bit more challenging. He can curl himself up and fit where you would never think to look for a person (like inside the cabinets).

PS The game is breaking up, all the realy good spots have been used. Any other cool ideas?

Hmmmmm....How about writing a play involving all 4 of them? Or good old fashioned board games? My sister and I liked to play go fish when we were younger, perhaps try that? Or crazy 8's? Also, it's not just a kid thing, I can fit inside cabinets too. ;-)
I just thought of something else, "the human knot". They tangle themselves up by joining hands and they all end up in a circle. Thats a fun activity and can go on for a while. :-D Also, are you going gun shopping when you get back to the states? ;-) You'll need the shotgun for both Beth and Kim. ;-) Listen to the song "cleaning this gun" by Rodney Atkins, it's a cute song, you'll probably get a kick out of it.
How about making Christmas cookies [or whatever holiday treat that the kids are used to]? I know that takes a while in our house.
make Christmas cards from the kids, or a pape chain
So you are looking for activities to do inside? Well Mr. Rich the Game Leader is here to help you out.
I was initially going to suggest mildly active games such as Bocce Socks (http://fun.familyeducation.com/activity/games/39923.html?detoured=1), Blind Penny Hunt (http://fun.familyeducation.com/activity/37063.html?detoured=1), Lookabout (http://www.kids-fun-and-games.com/parlour-games.html), Sock Wars (http://bradzockoll.tripod.com/youthworker/id3.html), or even Find the Leader (http://www.funandgames.org/games_quiet.htm#lapgame).
Instead, Thanks to Lisa, I am going to recommend for 4 kids in a 3 room apartment games such as Jump the River, North America-South America, Crack the Whip, Freeze Tag, and The Floor is Lava. And Lisa, couches and bed make excellent trampolines (and Trampoline Gymnastics is an Olympic event). I would also recommend that Lisa supply high fructose beverages prior to game time. ;)
Love you all and can't wait to see everyone on Saturday.

Mr. Rich, I love your suggestions!! Game leader extrodinaire!! If the Merrick clan were a bit younger, I bet he'd have even more Cubbies games to suggest!
Mark and Lisa, ALMOST THERE! Hang in there!! I'm amazed every time I read your posts how prepared and well planned you are - not that I'm surprised - just reminded how God has uniquely suited you both for this venture!

You should play sharades. That would work even with the language barrier. It's also a lot of fun. We play it at SUnday school all the time and even the eigth graders love it.
